Love's Harvest 2010

Helping the rural poor of Malawi grow the food they need on their own land.

Permaculture Meeting at St. Michael’s in Chinsapo

We are having trouble posting photos from Malawi, sorry to say.  Our first full day in Malawi was chock full of new teaching, new gardens, new friendships and a commitment from 41 individuals in 13 individual permaculture groups to network and support one another in our various efforts in Malawi.  Fr. Davie Chingoka graciously hosted us at his church, and Stacia Nordin, an American Permaculturalist living in Malawi for 13 years, facilitated a joyful and stimulating exchange.

Before that meeting, Love’s Harvest met with our Anglican coordinators from all dioceses in Malawi and visited a new demonstration garden at Nasala Parish.  We enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by the women of St. Michael’s.  Tomorrow we leave at 6:00 am for the long drive north to see the three new villages in the Diocese of Northern Malawi.
